SurfAid exists to improve the health, well-being and resilience of remote communities connected to us through surfing. SurfAid was founded in 2000 by a volunteer group of surfers. The organisation has grown into a global NGO with offices in Australia, the USA and New Zealand. The Make A Wave community is a group of passionate change-makers who surf every day throughout September to make an impact for families in the heartlands of surfing. From super groms, weekend warriors, surfing mums and professionals alike, the Make A Wave community is active in more than 21 countries. They are united in their mission to give back to the remote surf place we love to visit when searching for remote and untouched waves.
