Spicy Cauliflower joined the Zambrero menu in 2017, bringing a bold plant-based and vegan-friendly filling to the line-up. It quickly developed a niche but loyal fan base. While some raved, others raised eyebrows. "Could Cauliflower in a burrito really work?" they asked.
Notable Moments
Was featured in at least one customer TikTok review with the caption “surprisingly spicy.”
Why It’s Leaving
All good things must come to an end, especially the ones that divided group chats and dinner tables. Spicy Cauliflower had a good run, but even cult favourites need to make room for what’s next. Think of it less like a breakup, and more like a conscious uncoupling. It’s not you. It’s the menu strategy. Also, we just felt like it was time. Time to switch things up in a different way.
What’s Next
We’re not naming names just yet, but let’s just say: we wouldn’t show Cauliflower the door without having someone (or something) just as exciting ready to walk in.
It’s delicious. It’s new. It’s definitely not cauliflower.
Stay tuned.
Final Note
Was it polarising? Yes. Was it misunderstood? Maybe. Will we miss it? Actually... yeah, a little.
Goodbye, you spicy little oddball. You were never for everyone and that’s exactly what made you great.
