By 'simply' serving the best burrito in town since 2005 we have been able to empower our customers, franchise partners and team members to help us make that difference everyday in the lives of communities that need it the most through the Zambrero Plate 4 Plate initiative. INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION PARTNER
We are proud to call Rise Against Hunger our international hunger relief partner. They direct our Plate 4 Plate meals globally to communities in need, where many do not have access to adequate nutrition. The meals are donated primarily through school feeding programs, so not only are children receiving a meal they are in school receiving an education too.
ZAMBRERO x RISE AGAINST HUNGER
Our Annual Zambrero x Rise Against Hunger Vision trips are a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Plate 4 Plate initiative first-hand. We work closely with our charity partner, Rise Against Hunger, to bring these trips to life to share the incredible work that is done by their team and from the meals that are donated by Zambrero.
In 2025 we travelled to South Africa where we visited the various schools and projects run by the Rise Against Hunger team in partnership with a local NGO in Kenya. These trips are attended by Zambrero's Annual Conference Award winners and the Rise Against Hunger team.
INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION PARTNER
The Plate 4 Plate initiative contributes to Love Mercy's 'Cents for Seeds'; an agricultural microloan project which seeks to empower women in remote communities of northern Uganda with access to resources to provide for their families (health care, clean water, income generation and food security). Cents for Seeds offers women the opportunity to thrive independently by earning an income, which then turns into food, education, and health care.
LOCAL DISTRIBUTION PARTNER
Foodbank provides food relief to over 1 million Australians per month, yet now over 2 million Australian adults are experiencing food insecurity. Foodbank turns every $1 donated into two meals, allowing them to support communities efficiently and effectively across the country that are severely affected by hunger. We team up with FoodBank to distribute Plate 4 Plate meals locally.
